UNIVERSITY TRAINING PROVIDERS

Several training providers exist across the university, offering a range of online and face-to-face development opportunities. Further information is provided on the Staff Gateway.

Most training providers have mailing lists to which you can sign up for the latest opportunities and announcements.

Information about additional role-specific training can be found on the following webpages:

TIME FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Medical Sciences Division (MSD) expects that all research staff beyond their probationary period will be granted a minimum of five days paid time off per year for training and professional development activities. You can view the policy and conditions on the MSD website.

In 2019, NDCN agreed to extend this policy to all professional services and support staff within the Department.

RECORDING YOUR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

As part of NDCN’s annual Personal Development Review (PDR), all staff will be asked to record all training and development activities undertaken since their last PDR or probation meeting. Therefore, you should keep this training record up to date. You can view details of any training booked through CoSy, the University’s course booking system (Single Sign-On required).
