Ariel Kantor
DPhil Student and Rhodes Scholar
Ariel is the recipient of the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. Before moving to Oxford, Ariel completed his undergraduate studies in Bioengineering at Duke University, graduating summa cum laude with top distinction. There, he conducted research focused on the development of CRISPR epigenetic-editing technologies in the laboratory of Professor Charles Gersbach.
Ariel is currently working towards a DPhil in Clinical Neurosciences under the supervision of Professor Robert MacLaren. His research focuses on the application of CRISPR-Cas9 as a novel technique in the treatment of inherited macular degenerations, including retinitis pigmentosa.
