Temporal trends in cardiovascular diseases and risk factors

I am a General practitioner and my research interests lie mainly in improving the prevention of cardiovascular disease with particular emphasis on Stroke. My doctorate focussed on temporal trends in stroke incidence in high income countries at younger ages and temporal trends in risk factors. The aim of this research is to understand how we can improve the prediction of cardiovascular events and management of risk factors in individuals and populations with a particular focus on primary prevention.
