MB BS, DPhil, FRCP Kevin Talbot - Head of Department and Professor of Motor Neuron BiologyWelcome to the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN), one of the World’s leading centres for research and treatment in disorders of the nervous system. Our multidisciplinary workforce of close to 500 people is based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, but also spread across the University.

You have joined a department with a long history of research in neurology, brain imaging, eye disorders, and anaesthetics which has made major contributions to our understanding of how the brain works and to the development of treatments which have changed lives.

We are committed to developing our staff and students, and promoting well-being. We received an Athena SWAN Silver Award in October 2015.
