This project aims to perform between-subject alignment using diffusion imaging data.  Structural and functional images lack features in the white matter areas of the brain, whereas diffusion MRI is used to examine white matter tracts and pathological changes in these major axonal pathways.  In order to have the ability to accurately and generally compare white matter changes across subjects (including local changes and tractography results) it is necessary to drive registration using the diffusion information.  To achieve this, all the diffusion imaging data will be used to drive the alignment, by performing estimation with a generative Bayesian model.
