Annie Rawson

DPhil Student

I am a DPhil student supervised by Dr Helen Barron and Prof Jill O’Reilly at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN). My research focuses on memory processes in the human brain. I am investigating how reactivation of memories during rest affects their consolidation. I plan to combine functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging with non-invasive brain stimulation and machine learning methods.

My research is funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) through the Interdisciplinary Biosciences doctoral training programme

As part of my DPhil, I completed two rotation projects. The first used deep learning methods to analyse genomic datasets. The second focused on olfactory learning in Drosophila. Before coming to Oxford, I studied Physiology (BSc) at the University of Bristol and Neuroscience (MSc) at University College London.
