Public Engagement

Engaging with the public is a vital component of academic research. It not only lets us inform and inspire the public, who are a major stakeholder in our research, but it can help to shape us as researchers and shape the research that we do.

Find out about some of the public engagement activity our Department is involved in.

Patient and public involvement

Patient and public involvement (PPI) means actively involving patients/public in research in ways that are appropriate and relevant.

The aim is to ensure research addresses the things that really matter to people and is carried out in an accessible and inclusive manner.

See PPI resources on the Medical Sciences Division website.
