POSTER COMPETITION (2.00-4.15PM)
There will be a postgraduate poster competition held in Tingewick Hall between 2.00pm and 4.15pm. All DPhil students are required to submit a poster for the competition. Register online before 3 April 2017.
PRESENTATION OF DEPARTMENTAL PRIZES (4.30-4.45PM)
This year’s departmental prizes to be awarded are:
- Thomas Willis Early Career Researcher Prize
- Thomas Willis Intermediate Career Researcher Prize
- NDCN Department Award for Excellence
- NDCN Department Award for Outreach Activity
- NDCN Department Award for Teaching
The deadline to apply for or nominate people for departmental prizes is Friday 10 March 2017. The Senior Management Group will assess applications. All prizes consist of cash, to be held in NDCN and used for suitable work-related costs.
The Thomas Willis Lecture is the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences annual lecture.
This year the lecture is being delivered by Allan Basbaum FRS, University of California San Francisco. He will speak on 'Cell transplants to treat the 'disease' of chronic pain'.
The day will conclude with a drinks reception from 5.45 to 6.30pm.
