Investing in women and championing gender equality turbocharges a future where everyone in society can thrive, creating a world of boundless opportunity and empowerment for all.

The 8th of March marked International Women's Day. Through this year’s theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’, we are called to understand, value, and support the inclusion of women breaking down barriers, challenging stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected.

The NDCN Women in Clinical Neuroscience network (WICN) celebrated this with a well-attended and very successful lunch meeting. This featured an inspirational talk by Michele Hu, feedback from the WICN survey and a lively panel discussion with Adam Handel, Mathilde Pascal, Grace Borchert and Ejung Moon.

Special thanks to Michele Hu, Alexander Davies, Maddalena Comini, Niki Andrew, Helen Johnson and everyone who helped make the event a success.

The WICN network was established in 2021 with money from the University of Oxford Diversity Fund to empower and support female clinical academics in NDCN to progress their clinical academic careers.
