Professor Irene Tracey FMedSci is to be the next Warden of Merton College, Oxford.

With her lively involvement in the wider University and the national and international biomedical and educational community, we feel Merton will be well placed to address the increasing challenges facing higher education in the coming years.

Professor Tracey will remain Head of the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences until September 2019, taking up her new post as Warden of Merton College in October 2019. She will serve as Warden of Merton College for an initial period of seven years, with the possibility of renewal for up to five years. She will remain a member of the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.
