Preventing a Stroke
Some changes in lifestyle may prevent a stroke from happening, or prevent you from having another stroke.
- Stopping smoking
- Drinking sensibly (not exceeding 2-3 units daily for women, 3-4 units daily for men)
- Eating 5 or more portions of fruit and vegetables a day
- Eating no more than 6g of salt a day
- Being a healthy weight and getting active (30-60 minutes most days of the week)
