Academic Foundation Doctor
Marianne is a Foundation Year 3 Doctor. She completed her foundation year training as an academic foundation doctor in Oxford, with academic time spent with the Oxford Critical Care Research Group. Marianne is currently completing an FY3 year in New Zealand working in acute medicine/ICU then hoping to return to the CCRG and to complete her ACCS speciality training in Oxford.
Marianne is interested in acute and intensive care medicine, my main areas of research so far have focussed on atrial fibrillation. Marianne completed a King's undergraduate research fellowship during medical school, and became part of the Oxford University Clinical Academic Graduate school to continue to pursue her interests in clinical research post-graduation.
Marianne is currently working on a systematic review on the use of wearable devices in hospital inpatients for the detection of atrial fibrillation via ECG waveform analysis. This systematic review will complement the TRAFFIC study also underway with the CCRG effectively.
