Basic Science
We maintain a strong focus on basic scientific research that can lead to therapeutic benefit.
For example, current projects include work examining the TSC2 complex of tuberous sclerosis, electrophysiological studies of surgically resected epileptogenic tissue and deregulation of NMDA receptor function in hippocampal sclerosis.
We are part of the Oxford Neurodevelopment Consortium and are keen to engage with partners interested in improved molecular understanding of what drives seizures.
