MariaAndraus.pngIn 2017 I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, supervised by Professor Arjune Sen.

I work as a Neurologist Consultant, a Clinical Neurophysiologist and a Neurology Post-Graduation Professor at Santa Casa da Misericórdia-Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) and Instituto Estadual do Cérebro Paulo Niemeyer, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a special interest in epilepsy and its clinical and electroencephalographic aspects and treatments, and I am a Collaborative Researcher at The Laboratory of Fuzzy Logic (LabFuzzy-COPPE) at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). My Master's and Doctoral studies, performed at UFRJ, were focused on refractory temporal lobe epilepsy and its clinical aspects and investigations, especially through prolonged video-EEG monitoring and brain SPECT.

With the Oxford Epilepsy Research Group, I am studying the phenotypes, seizures semiology and EEG findings of patients affected by the immunomediated anti-NMDAR encephalitis.
