Abigail Wyllie
Research Assistant
I am a research assistant working with Betina Ip in the Vision Group, based at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging.
As part of my responsibilities, I recruit participants with abnormal binocular vision due to amblyopia ("lazy eye") as well as patients with visual hallucinations who have Charles Bonnet Syndrome. I also assist in writing ethics applications and support MRI scanning. Additionally, I designed an eye-tracking experiment to assess the influence of culture on how we look at artworks, and am currently running analysis for this project.
I graduated in 2021 from the University of Sussex with a First Class BSc Psychology degree. I received the Tony Gale Memorial Award (BPS Wessex Branch) for the Best Undergraduate Dissertation for my research into how low-level scene statistics can influence perceptions and liking of natural images.
