Alvar Paris

Clinical Research Fellow in Neurovascular Disease

Alvar Paris started as a Clinical Research Fellow in Neurovascular Disease at the Wolfson CPSD in August 2022. His research interests include stroke, dementia, and population health. 

Prior to starting in Oxford, he trained on the Academic Foundation Programme (AFP) at Barts Health NHS Trust. He completed his medical degree with distinction at the University of Cambridge (2020) with a first class intercalated BA in Natural Sciences (2017). He was a summer intern on the Harvard Stem Cell Institute Internship Program (HSCI HIP) in 2016, partly funded by the Emmanuel-Harvard Program for Research in Science and Engineering (PRISE).
