Digital Biomarkers for Neurodegenerative Diseases
Research groups
Before joining the NeuroMetrology lab at Oxford, Aminette completed her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Cardiff University, where she worked on the development of a novel tablet-based cognitive assessment (MiND app) for healthy ageing and dementia. She collaborated with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in India to apply this tool across cultural populations. Prior to this, Aminette pursued an MSc in Human Cognitive Neuropsychology at the University of Edinburgh, where she completed her thesis on cross-linguistic effects on spatial and social cognition.
As part of the Oxford Quantification in Parkinsonism (OxQUIP) study, her research explores i) the application of digital cognitive biomarkers to detect and monitor symptom progression, and ii) the relationship between cognitive and motor impairments in Parkinsonian syndromes.
