- Rhodes Scholar
I studied Medicine at the University of Cape Town and graduated with 1st class honours. After graduation, I worked as a junior doctor in South Africa before moving to Oxford and completing my MSc in Neuroscience, and now reading for a DPhil in Clinical Neuroscience.
My main research interest concerns insults that occur to the paediatric brain during development and childhood. Previously, my research at Red Cross Children's War Memorial Hospital looked at optimising recovery for children after brain injury and infection. The focus of my DPhil will be motor recovery in children, and probing underlying structural and genetic causes for variability in response to non-invasive brain stimulation.
