Christie Campla

DPhil Student and NIH-OxCam Scholar

As part of the NIH-OxCam Scholars PhD program, Christie works jointly in the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology with Stephanie Halford and Sumathi Sekaran as well as in the Neurobiology Neurodegeneration and Repair Laboratory with Anand Swaroop. Her research is aimed towards understanding what controls appropriate development of rod photoreceptors by carrying out a detailed molecular and functional characterization of genes associated with functional maturation of these cells in the mammalian retina.
