Biography
Ese is a postdoctoral researcher investigating the blood brain barrier (BBB) and its implication in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease within an IM2PACT consortium. Her project goal is to provide therapeutic access into the brain via the blood brain barrier for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Prior to coming to Oxford, she completed a Master's degree at the University of Sheffield and further pursued a PhD in Medical Studies specifically focusing in Type 1 Diabetes research at the University of Exeter. Her research interests include neurodegenerative diseases, neurological disorders, autoimmune Type 1 diabetes, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
