Fitzroy Wickham
DPhil Student
Fitzroy Wickham obtained his B.A. in Neuroscience from the Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT, USA. During his undergraduate studies he conducted research in the Naegele lab. Their work focused on using stem cell therapy to treat temporal lobe epilepsy in mice.
In the summer of 2019, Fitzroy interned at Voyager Therapeutics, Cambridge, MA, USA. He was assigned to the Tau group which specialized in using gene therapy to treat AD in mice.
Fitzroy was awarded the Jamaica Rhodes Scholarship for 2021 and with that he joined the Cognitive Neurology Research Group at Oxford headed by Professor Masud Husain. His research focuses on the role of the WM in human decision-making.
