Ines Barreiros
DPhil Student
I'm a Neuroscience PhD student, enrolled in the 4-year Interdisciplinary Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership, part of the Doctoral Training Centre, University of Oxford, and supported by the BBSRC. On my PhD project, I am investigating the representation of cognitive maps in the brain, under the supervision of Dr Mark Walton and Prof Tim Behrens.
Previously, I worked as Research Assistant & Lab Manager with Dr Michael Kohl (Oxford) on a project that aims to understand the role of interneurons on the neural coding strategies employed to represent sensory information. Before moving to Oxford, I obtained a BSc in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and a postgraduation in Neurobiology through the 2-years MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Coimbra.
