I am a clinical academic undertaking a DPhil within the autoimmune neurology group in Oxford under the supervision of Dr Sarosh Irani and Dr Patrick Waters. The aim of our work is a better understanding of the clinical spectrum of antibody mediated neurological diseases as well as their underlying immunological mechanisms. Ideally this should allow for an improvement in the recognition and treatment of individuals suffering from these conditions in order to optimise their outcomes.
