Human Resources Officer

My role at NDCN is to oversee the day to day HR Administration: recruitment life cycle, from vacancy approval, through to advert, appointment; fixed term contract process; issuing of contracts and contractual changes and maintenance of the HR Information System.

I provide support, advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of employment such as absence management, performance management, maternity and paternity leave, disciplinary and grievance as well as sponsorship and visa queries.

In conjunction with the Head of Administration and Finance I am responsible for facilitating the Personal Development Review process for staff and developing HR policies and procedures. I am also involved with the Athena SWAN initiative and am part of the Athena working group.

I work closely with my HR colleagues Linda Phillipson and Sally Beauchamp as well as staff within NDCN and the wider University.
