I received my medical degree and neuroscience BSc at Imperial college, London. I then completed my core medical training within the London deanery and now work at the John Radcliffe Hospital as a neurology clinical fellow reading for my DPhil in clinical neurosciences.
My research interests are in cognitive neurology, specifically motivation in neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease. I aim to explore mechanisms underlying apathy, and to investigate the effects of dopamine on manifestations of impulsive and apathetic decision making. I am also keen to investigate the motor and physiological consequences of apathy in neurological diseases.
I have a strong interest in the use of technology in medicine and neuroscience. My research is in healthy adults and in neurology patient groups using a combination of behavioural tasks, biosensors, eye tracking and Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI).
Reward sensitivity deficits modulated by dopamine are associated with apathy in Parkinson's disease.
