Bio
I am a research nurse working on studies funded by the NIHR Oxford BRC Digital Health theme. Working alongside my colleagues in the Kadoorie centre and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
I have aways been interested in technology and gadgets and I am enjoying finding ways to incororate this interest with my past experience as a critical care nurse. There is a large potential for technology to improve the lives of those receiving healthcare either in the hospital or at home.
Current studies I am working on are;
Virtual HDU - Using wearable ambulatory monitors to continuously monitor the vital signs of hospital inpatients.
SHiNE - Screening for Hypertension in the INpatient Environment.
Recent publications
-
Protocol for a prospective, controlled, cross-sectional, diagnostic accuracy study to evaluate the specificity and sensitivity of ambulatory monitoring systems in the prompt detection of hypoxia and during movement
