Research Assistant

I am a Research Assistant for Paediatric Neuroimaging on the KOALA (Kids with Occlusion therapy for AmbLyopiA) project. I am working with Rebecca Willis, Betina Ip, and Holly Bridge, based at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging.

Amblyopia is the most common cause of vision loss in children, and is commonly treated using Occlusion Therapy (also known as 'patching'). This study is exploring how Occlusion Therapy changes signals in the brain to understand how the treatment works. We hope that these findings will lead to better treatment for Amblyopia in the future.

More information about the KOALA study is available here. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like more information (koalastudy@ndcn.ox.ac.uk) - we would love to hear from you!
