Biography
Ross completed his undergraduate degree in Genetics at the University of Leicester, followed by a Masters in Stem Cell Technologies, in which he graduated top of his class, from the University of Nottingham. His research projects investigated triggers of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in cancer and the impact of stem cell niche alterations on cancer potency. During his undergraduate degree he competed in iGEM (international Genetically Engineered Machine) – a prestigious international synthetic biology competition.
Ross previously worked as a research assistant in a collaborative project with OXSTEM Ocular. The goal of this project is the identification of small molecules that stimulate retinal precursor cells as novel therapies for retinopathies.
Ross has transferred to another OXSTEM subsidiary - OXSTEM Beta, to pursue diabetes research.
