DPhil student

I am completing my DPhil in the pain group at FMRIB, under the supervision of Irene Tracey. My research uses functional MRI to look at the neural mechanisms that underlie the endogenous modulation of pain in both health and disease. I am also interested in how these mechanisms might be manipulated to treat and prevent chronic pain conditions.

In order to complete my DPhil I have been granted a 3 year break from my clinical duties as a doctor training in general surgery.
