Shane studied medicine at University College Cork, graduating in 2010. He trained in medicine and neurology in Cork before joining the Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia as a Clinical Research Fellow in August 2014.
He enjoys teaching and is a Teaching Associate at Green Templeton College.
He currently works for Professor Peter Rothwell. He works on cardioembolic stroke and TIA and the role of cardiac investigations in neurovascular disease.
