I joined Professor Brown’s group in January 2016, having been awarded a Scholarship from the Chinese Scholarship Council to visit the Unit for a year.
I am currently studying for a PhD at the Department of Medical Electronics, Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIBET), China. I have an MSc from the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, where I graduated with distinction. I also have a First Class Honours in B.Eng., College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Shandong University of Science and Technology, China.
My visit strengthens a developing collaboration between the group of my supervisor Professor Shouyan Wang at SIBET and Professor Peter Brown’s Group in the Unit. My research will focus on the identification of novel biomarkers in the local field potentials recorded from patients undergoing functional neurosurgery.
