Addressing today’s complex sustainability challenges requires Systems Thinking (ST) skills, especially among GenZ. Current educational models lack in developing ST abilities. The EduGenZ ecosystem, as described here, endeavors to augment ST proficiencies amongst pre-service teachers via an innovative gamified pedagogical schema. Harnessing the prowess of Explainable AI (xAI) and affective analytics, the EduGenZ framework capitalizes on immersive technological modalities and sustainability-oriented educational strategies to tackle multifaceted societal quandaries. The methodological ethos of EduGenZ is rooted in iterative cycles of co-design, co-creation, and co-evaluation, culminating in the evolution of the EduGenZ ecosystem. It effectively synthesizes data and metrics, enhancing ST education and driving cross-disciplinary societal progress towards sustainability.
