DPhil Student
I am a DPhil student co-supervised by Dr Richard Webster and Dr Yin Dong. My interests lie in combining functional neuroscience with structure and morphology and I use these to better understand Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome (CMS) which is a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder. In my DPhil I work on characterising animal models, gene therapy in CMS and I also explore allosteric modulators of the muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptor with the ultimate goal to develop new treatment options for patients with CMS.
I graduated from a MSc in Medicine at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 2017 followed by UK Foundation Programme at the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2019, PGCert in Medical Education at UCL and Integrated Foundations in Medical Education at Cambridge in 2020. During my medical studies I conducted a nationwide population-based study where I investigated coexisting medical conditions among children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
