Love your Brain! is an engagement programme from the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.

About the programme

We're dedicated to ensuring that the undergraduate teaching programme (i.e. teaching neuroscience to medical students) is fully engaged with the local community and serving the needs of those living with neurological conditions in Oxfordshire.

Free community events

Between 2023 and 2025 we'll be running a series of free events across Oxfordshire all about brain health, including short talks and brain-friendly creative activities. These events will also be an opportunity for people to learn more about the Department's Expert Patient Tutors programme, where those living with neurological conditions have the opportunity to work as (paid) educators to our medical students.

Love your Brain! Is part of the wider project 'Diversifying medical education while addressing health inequity', funded by the University of Oxford's Strategic Innovation Fund, which aims to tackle unmet neurological health needs within underserved communities in Oxfordshire. Its Principal Investigator is Professor Gabriele DeLuca. Additional support is provided by the Humanities Division. We're also working closely with colleagues at Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, UK, who are developing a similar project.
