At NDCN we are committed to supporting the University's Sustainability targets. We have a group of environmental champions who lead the way, working towards the LEAF and Green Impact schemes.

Sustainability at Oxford

The University's Environmental Sustainability Strategy sets two ambitious targets: to achieve net zero carbon and to achieve biodiversity net gain, both by 2035.

Read more about how you can take action to support these aims and read on to find out how we support them in NDCN.

LEAF

The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) is an innovative scheme to drive improvements in laboratory efficiency. We have a number of teams across all sites who are all Silver or Bronze LEAF accredited.

To be kept informed about monthly LEAF meetings, please contact the NDCN Facilities Team to be added to the mailing list.

Join the Virtual MS Teams based community of practice to access webinars and written resources. .

Green Impact

The NDCN Green Impact team works to implement practical (and often fun!) actions that all staff and students in can take to improve sustainable practices as individuals, and as a department.

Look out for details of the team's initiatives and events via the weekly NDCN newsletter and on screens and posters.

The team members are primarily based on Level 6 of the JR, but would love to widen their reach. If you are a member of NDCN and would like to be part of this, then please join the environmental champions team.
