The Athena SWAN Charter is a national scheme that recognises commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine in higher education and research. The good practice that is encouraged by the scheme benefits both men and women in academic and non-academic roles.

We received an Athena SWAN Silver Award in October 2015. Read our Athena SWAN Silver Application. We are focusing on maintaining this award as well as working towards Gold.
