Our Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging bridges the gap between laboratory neuroscience and human health, by performing multi-scale studies imaging the brain, from animal models right through to human populations.

Researchers at our MRC Brain Network Dynamics Unit are working to understand and exploit the moment-to-moment interactions between nerve cells that are critical for brain function and behaviour, with a special focus on the brain circuits underlying movement and memory. The aim is to develop and deliver novel therapies that specifically target the disturbed circuit interactions arising in disease.

We are looking to raise money to fund the following:

  • A clinical neurosciences doctoral training centre, to build up our cohort of talented students to drive future research
  • An endowed Chair of Cognitive Neuroscience
  • A building on the planned new Warneford Campus to consolidate imaging facilities currently spread over Oxford
  • Ultrasound to target deep structures for non-invasive stimulation.
