Laura Cini
Research Assistant in Translational Neuroimaging
I received a BSc Neuroscience degree in 2021 from Aston University, Birmingham. My degree studies included a neuropharmaceutical placement year at the University of Bath where I used electrophysiological techniques to assess the effects of dopamine on VTA kappa-opioid receptors. Following University, I worked as a Clinical Trials Assistant at the Royal United Hospital supporting the set-up and day-to-day activities of pharmaceutical clinical trials.
I now support WIN’s programme of translational research, assisting with activities of multiple in-house translational clinical research studies and external trials. I also work at the Oxford Brain Health Clinic, a dual clinical-research memory clinic. I support WIN’s innovation and technology transfer activities, which are centred around the translation of neuroimaging tools into the clinic. I am also involved with WIN’s engagement work with policymakers.
