Postdoctoral Researcher
After obtaining my doctoral degree at the University of Marburg, Germany, I began my clinical training at the Dept. of Ophthalmology at the University of Bonn, Germany.
In 2017 I joined the team of Prof Mark Hankins at the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology. My work here focuses on analysing and optimizing the capacity of optogenetic gene therapy to restore image forming vision using a mouse model of retinal blindness.
