Beatrice Tynan

Laboratory Technician

Before coming to Oxford from the US, Beatrice earned her B.S. in Computational & Applied Mathematics & Statistics from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, where she concentrated in Mathematical Biology. In 2025, she was a Mary Lister McCammon Summer Research Fellow in Mathematics at Imperial College London, where she researched a novel mathematical model of cell fate determination as part of the Karin Group. She joined the Clinical Ophthalmology Research Group in 2025, where she assists in Prof Robert MacLaren's translational research developing gene therapy treatments for inherited retinal diseases.
