Irmak Yazici

PhD

People & Culture Coordinator

I work at the intersection of people, culture, and strategy within the NDCN, supporting the development and delivery of its people and culture strategy. My work focuses on improving departmental workplace culture by responding to staff feedback and meeting the expectations of the Athena Swan Charter, funders, and the REF.

Working closely with the People and Culture Oversight Group and its subcommittees—Athena Swan, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and Research Culture—I support working groups to operate effectively, develop evidence-based action plans, and deliver meaningful change. I provide qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategic priorities, evaluate progress, and support action planning.

I am a social scientist with a PhD in political science, MA and BA degrees in philosophy. Prior to joining NDCN, I was a lecturer at Stanford University.
