Lucy McDermott
Lucy McDermott is a Ph.D. student in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford and a member of David Bennett’s Pain Research group. Her research focuses on the role of the voltage gated sodium channel NaV1.7 in human nociception. Lucy’s work uses iPSC derived nociceptors in combination with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing to functionally characterise NaV1.7 in a human model system.
