Bronwyn studied Medicine at the University of Cape Town and graduated with 1st class honours. She worked as a junior doctor in South Africa before moving to Oxford and completing her MSc in Neuroscience. She is currently reading for a DPhil in Clinical Neuroscience.
Her main research interest concerns insults that occur to the paediatric brain during development and childhood. Her previous research at Red Cross Children's War Memorial Hospital looked at optimising recovery for children after brain injury and infection. Her DPhil will focus on motor recovery in children and mechanisms of plasticity.
