Katharine Ware
Senior Academic Administration Officer
I am responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of the Department’s postgraduate research and taught programmes of study, with the support of our Academic Admin Officer who I line-manage. The current programmes in our remit are the Masters (by Research) in Clinical Neurosciences, the DPhil in Clinical Neurosciences, and new taught MSc in Pain Neurosciences (launching in September 2026). I have had significant involvement with the set up of the latter, working closely with the course director and course tutor on its development.
Key of focus in my work are: postgraduate admissions, student finances, and on-course student matters. I work closely with the Director of Graduate Studies on specific student cases and act as a key point of contact for students and staff (internal and external to NDCN). I help to ensure a high-quality student experience while maintaining compliance with University policies and procedure.
