Maria Afonso Pereira

BSc, MRes

DPhil Student

I completed a BSc in Medical Biosciences followed by an MRes in Neurotechnology at Imperial College London. My Masters project focused on using focused ultrasound with microbubbles to improve the delivery of immune checkpoint inhibitors to the brain for the treatment of gliomas.

My current work and my primary interest revolve around building onto our current understanding of what drives the progression of Multiple Sclerosis.
