Ruth Geraldes

DPhil Student

  • Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Fellow
  • Neurology Specialist

I am a DPhil Student in the Multiple Sclerosis Neuropathology Research Group and the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Clinical Fellow at Oxford University Hospitals. I work under supervision of Dr Gabriel DeLuca and Dr Jacqueline Palace.

As a Neurologist I would like to find new strategies to halt the accumulation of disability in MS. Being a chronic disease, MS outcomes are possibly affected by aging and commonly age related disorders, such as vascular disease.  I aim to understand the interaction between Multiple Sclerosis and Vascular disease through post mortem and in vivo brain imaging research projects.
