Melanie Alexis-Butler

I am responsible for the day to day management of the HR function providing support and guidance to the HR team as required in the provision of all areas of the employee life-cycle. I take the lead on individual employee cases and provide guidance to line managers in the management of complex casework in conjunction with the Head of HR. 

I work closely with the Head of HR in contributing to the wider management of the department through the development and implementation of departmental HR strategy and procedures, and the development of HR initiatives.

In addition to my HR leadership responsibilities, I am an accredited Workplace Mediator and contribute to the delivery of the Medical Sciences Divisional Mediation Service. 

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management which has provided me with advanced knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management and employment law and equipped me with a strong foundation in strategic and operational HR functions. I joined NDCN in 2017.
