Varin Rahman

As the Senior HR Advisor at Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, I am responsible for all aspects of HR across the full employee life-cycle; from recruitment to exit management, while supervising and developing HR colleagues. I provide support on employee relations matters, working closely with the HR Manager to guide line managers through employee cases. Together with the Head of HR and HR Manager, I contribute to the development and implementation of departmental HR policies and processes, ensuring compliance with employment law and University policy. I also support the Head of HR and HR Manager with reporting and departmental projects.

I obtained my Masters in Human Resource Management (accredited by CIPD Level 7) in 2020 and started my career as an HR professional in 2021. I have worked in the NHS since and joined the University of Oxford in January 2024 as an HR Officer.
