DPhil

Course Tutor for MSc in Pain Neuroscience

I am the Course Tutor for the MSc in Pain Neurosciences at the University of Oxford. My research experience focusses on understanding pain mechanisms using functional MRI. Most recently as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Plymouth and the University of Exeter I investigated the neuromodulation of pain using transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS), using fMRI to characterise its effects on brain function and pain processing. I completed my DPhil at the University of Oxford supervised by Professor Irene Tracey and Dr Vishvarani Wanigasekera, focussed on imaging biomarkers of pain and analgesia. Broadly my interests include pain neuroscience, neuroimaging and neuromodulation, as well as research-led education and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in pain neuroscience.
