Research aims

Our research spans the breadth of autoimmune neurology.

We carry out clinical studies to characterise patient symptoms, features, test results and treatment responses. We optimise and better characterise the diagnostic autoantibody test.

Also, we are trying to characterise the cells which produce the autoantibodies. This would allow us to begin to understand which medications can destroy these cells and help reduce autoantibody levels, and to better understand the residual symptoms in patients which may respond to novel medications.
